Tanisha N. Johnson, MSW

Executive Director

 

Tanisha joined Finding Homes & Hope for Our Children as the Executive Director in February 2016.  Tanisha brings over 15 years of child welfare experience working primarily in the areas of foster care, adoption, family finding, and residential youth services.  Tanisha is experienced in leadership, program development, advocacy, community engagement and strategic planning.   Tanisha is passionate about social work and is committed to supporting youth and their families by offering comprehensive, person-centered services and by developing exemplary human service professionals through strategic planning and leadership.  Tanisha has a BSW from NC A&T State University in Greensboro, NC and a MSW from Fayetteville State University in Fayetteville, NC.

Samaiyah M. Williams, BS

Foster Care Specialist

Samaiyah joined Finding Homes and Hope for our Children as the Foster Care Specialist in May 2017. During her career, Samaiyah has worked in mental health skill building for individuals with intellectual disabilities, counseling individuals with mental health symptoms, hunger relief, mentoring troubled or at risk youth, and accessing resources for moderate to low income families. Samaiyah is passionate about social equality and ensuring that all persons are provided with the same opportunities for a chance to achieve upward mobility. Samaiyah received a Bachelor's of Science in both Psychology and Sociology from Radford University.  She is looking forward to serving youth and families in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  She enjoys eating healthy and is passionate about health and fitness.
